it was way back in 1994 when a group of old students met at a Moon Cake Festival gathering in KL and found themselves looking so much more of a difference after 30 years!  Some were young men, then with grey hair, had become grandpas. Some were cute little girls, then had become grandmas.  When all met together, it stirred up all sorts of memories. Gossips had turned into telling many experiences and created those unforgettable feelings.

However, at that point of time, a warm desire was still burning inside everyone's heart, a resultant effect from this strong ancestral cultural bond. This desire had pushed further the formation of a legal gathering of old students. Looking back the history, Ngee Ann College was established in 1962, having 4 batches of students only.

Later it was changed to Ngee Ann Technical College and then Ngee Ann Polytechnic in 1982. Amongst the graduates, there were more than 3 thousand strong from Malaysia.  Due to different educational backgrounds, most of the earlier batches of students were Chinese eds. and then English eds., followed by National eds.

Several attempts were made to form NATC Alumni and NA Poly Alumni over the years but all to no avail.  Finally, through all the hardship, the 3 in 1 Ngee Ann Alumni Malaysia was successfully registered on 8th July,1995.

Mr. Bernard Lau Kim San as the Organizing Chairman, and many others who were the pillars of the Alumni are still very important to date.

With the formation of the Alumni, it meant activities must follow. The Organizing Committee in this instance had worked very hard towards its goal.

An event to elect the 1st Central Committee was held in Restaurant Chim Tong Kak at Jalan Bukit Bintang KL on 28th Oct 1995 with Mr. Bernard Lau Kim San elected as the President.

The Alumni is a young shoot and it is growing up day by day. However with the hot blood of the Committee, the progress was tremendous. Within a short period of time, the Alumni had attained the following achievements:
